Laulima is a new company that helps travellers see the world for less. Solo backpackers from around the world use Laulima to find exchanges, connect with hostels, volunteer abroad and save money whilst travelling.
Our Story
When Alex decided he wanted to travel the world, he found the savings he had just wasn't enough to fund his travel dreams. It was in Cambodia where Alex met a backpacker who travelled freely by volunteering part time in hostels in exchange for free accommodation, that it hit him. That having a platform to connect backpackers with hostels looking for volunteers, in exchange for free stay, could be the beginning of a new way to travel.
Over the next few years Alex invested his time in finding a way to provide this service completely free for backpackers alike and with the success of that, Laulima is now fast becoming the leading platform in hostel exchanges.
