I like to challenge myself, and travel is the best way to do it. In my travels I have always tried to distance myself from the masses, from mainstream activities and programs, to dedicate myself to total immersion in the habits and customs of local populations. Without this fundamental aspect, travel has no meaning, it remains just a mere visit, an end in itself, that does not enrich you, does not enlighten you, does not warm you. In short, a waste of time and money. Knowing a place means living it, going through its lights and shadows, and coming out more aware and satisfied.
