As a resident manager, I wear many hats but my favorite one is community organization. I have the freedom to utilize a plethora of resources in ways I see fit based on the needs of my residents and it brings me such joy. I feel we have the richest people in 1st world countries but we are actually the poorest due to our lack of community and our basic needs being met. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs teaches us every human has the same basic needs such as water, food, and belonging. We all need to feel we belong somewhere and as a person who’s worked with the elderly, youth, diverse backgrounds, and different beliefs, I love watching people connect authentically.

Outside of working in property management, I am a poet who spends quite a bit of time working on my stage presence at open mic nights in my area. I love every aspect of my life currently but one of my favorite quotes is “if we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots, not feet.” I know I’m meant to experience the world.
